Snake paranoia is usually not wasted, in the name of safety. It can also be useful for comedy purposes. Last night at dinner, the laws of physics played a prank. I didn’t notice the bright green straw floating high in the glass, above the ice cubes, hanging over, until it startled me when it fell to the floor.
I say startled, but for a split second what I saw was a snake, so I shrieked wildly and accidentally flung my kindle-reader across the floor. (It was OK.) This also started the waitress, who was perfectly OK, in fact she found this immensely amusing.
So there you are, stupidity and paranoia can be useful if applied to entertainment.
Oy.
